Control privacy with window treatments

Luminous sheers or total light control?

Any type of window fashion that is constructed in fabric – which can be draped, folded, pleated or hung into a decorative design to enhance a window. Soft treatments include draperies and curtains, fabric shades, top treatments such as swags, jabots, valances and scarves. We can show you every light control possibility in between.

Only you know how much daylight you want in each room, and you alone decide how much privacy is required of every window treatment for your family.

Maximize natural light with Window Treatments

Good lighting is essential in the quest for the appearance of more space. The more light in your room, the better for making it appear more than it really is. Choose a treatment that gives you Light Control, but is also very easy to operate.

Acoustical Draperies are a quick, effective and cheap way to improve room acoustics. They create Privacy while allowing light in from the outside.

Enhance Arched Windows with beautiful fabrics hung in creative ways to bring focus to the window.

Work with Eco Friendly Materials at Window Elegance

Window Elegance is always looking to ecologically friendly materials for our customers. Manufactures such as Robert Allen are starting to provide eco friendly fabrics.

We consider fabric "Eco Friendly" if at least fifty percent of the fibers in our eco-friendly fabrics are sustainable, organic and/or recycled.

• Sustainable fibers come from rapidly renewable resources with growth and harvest cycles of five years or less. Fibers that fall into this category include alpaca, bamboo, mohair, hemp, wool, and cork.
• Organic fibers are grown without the use of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. Fibers that fall into this category include organic cotton, organic hemp and organic linen. All of our organic fabrics are made from certified organic fibers.
• Recycled fibers come from post-consumer waste such as soda bottles. They also come from post-industrial waste: byproducts from the manufacturing process. Our post-industrial recycled fibers come from petroleum byproducts, recycled cotton, corn derivatives (PLA), recycled silk, and soybean husks.

Six Tips for Great Window Treatments @ Window Elegance

Found this great article at HGTV about spruce up those windows to make your kitchen more attractive to homebuyers.

......3. PICK CURRENT COLORS
If you're using fabric, make sure it's in a contemporary tone.

"The terra cotta shades, with persimmons, peaches and oranges are very 'in' mixed with greens, blacks and golds," says Pelley. "You can also mix cotton fabric prints, either within a treatment or coordinating a print in the valance or cornice with another print on the cushion tie seats or place mats."

If your kitchen is particularly tiny, then light, cool colors can make it look larger and brighter, while dark, warm colors can make an oversized kitchen more inviting.

4. TRY SOME TEXTURE
Another hot trend to get buyers enthusiastic about your kitchen is Roman shades made of rattan, bamboo or other natural fibers, says Pelley: "They add visual interest with their texture, but still roll up smoothly like the Roman shades of old." .....
